2016 was an exceptionally good, truly "epic" vintage for Napa Valley. Opus 1 from that year received exceptionally high scores, including 99 points from James Suckling and 98 points from Robert Parker. This wine presents a deep garnet color with aromas of ripe blueberries, black cherry jam, and blackcurrant, accompanied by subtle hints of violet, spice, sage, and black truffle. Palate and Structure: Full-bodied, rich, and layered, with fine tannins, balanced acidity, and a long finish.
